Hello, my name is Breanne, and I am addicted to Jane Austen. There, I said it. I’m obsessed with all things Austen. I’ve read all her books, seen all the movie versions, and devoured all the contemporary Austen spin-offs. One of the things I love most about Jane Austen’s writing is her satirical social commentary of Regency England. Even though flawed and sometimes downright ridiculous, Austen created lifelike and likeable characters that really stick with you.

Over fall break, I decided to reread Sense and Sensibility, one of my favorites. It transported me from contemporary Fort Worth, Texas, to the English countryside, filled with grand mansions and ball gowns and formal manners. Oh to have lived during that time (minus the body odor, repression of women, lack of modern medicine, etc).
